When Summer gets hot, you need an awesome way to cool off.  And thanks to douchebags driving H2's, Summer is only going to get hotter.  Here's a list of the best water park rides from all over the world.  Check them out before the ice caps melt, and you're real sick of water.

 

6.)  Bomb Bay at Wet 'N' Wild Orlando, Florida

The terror of this ride comes from a combination of three things: its height of 76 feet, it's nearly vertical drop, and finally, from anticipation.  The rider stands in an enclosed chamber on a trap door which releases without warning.  That oughta get your blood flowing.

 

5.)  Jumeirah Sceirah at Wild Wadi, Dubai

Anyone know how to pronounce this?  Didn't think so.  Regardless of how ridiculous the name is, this waterslide is awesome.  It's the largest waterslide outside of North America, it's 108 feet tall, allowing riders to reach speeds of up to 50 mph. 

 

4.)  Insano at Beach Park, Brazil

This bad boy is 41 meters tall.  That's about 135 feet to you metric system haters out there.  On this guy, you're looking at speeds in excess of 60 mph, and a heart rate of about 200 bpm. 

 

3.)  Summit Plummet At Walt Disney World, Florida

Usually water park rides are a fun way to cool off while amusement park rides are good for a thrill.  Summit Plummet at Disney World combines both.  At 120 feet of free fall, riders can expect to reach speeds of 55 mph or more.  Bring a plunger, you'll be digging your swim trunks out from deep inside yourself. 

 

2.)  Master Blaster At Schlitterbahn, Texas

The Master Blaster, despite its obnoxiously corny name, is the world's only water rollercoaster.  It goes downhill, then water jets propel you back uphill, and so on.  It's pretty awesome. 

 

1.)  Water Looping Ride In Germany

This insane ride located somewhere in Germany is the biggest looping water ride in the world.  The rider stands on a trap door, and on their count, are flung downwards and through the loop.  Now, we just gotta pray that they bring this technology to the US so we can throw on our man-thongs and ride it like the hilarious German guy in the video.
