We at Campus Squeeze decided something: we hate douchebags. Since there are quite a bit of them running around, we decided that there must be levels of douchebaggery. Some are worse than others, but all are awful. Our "Douchebag Report Card" is meant to grade the douchiest people of our society, so we know just how douchy these douchebags really are.
This Week: Rod Blagojevich

Just what you always wanted! A SIGNED Rod Blagojevich rookie card!
You may know Blagojevich as the former governor of Illinois, forced to resign after corruption charges surfaced in late 2008. In 2009, he was impeached, found guilty, and barred from ever holding public office in Illinois ever again. Whoops!
On His Hair:

It's really more FUNNY than anything. Plus, how many 52-year-olds have such luxurious manes? Not many.
On His Public Record:
Blaggie was widely disliked in Illinois, even before his corruption charges surfaced. Many of the other state democrats were pretty annoyed with him, citing him as difficult to get along or work with. He often refused to discuss his legislation with anyone, making it difficult for any of this bills to pass, and was even called "A madman" by Rep. Joe Lyons. His approval rating was so low that it suggested that he was possibly the least popular governor in America at one time. His approval rating in Illinois was even lower than Illinois' approval of then President George W. Bush (remember him?)
So here's some of the shit he did:
-Asked for money from companies who received state contracts. That means that he asked contractors for money because they received work from the state government.
-Expecting a $50,000 campaign from a Children's Hospital when he gave them $8 million worth of state funds.
-Also, he tried to sell Barack Obama's vacant senate seat, saying "I'm gonna get something good for this." Meaning he wanted cash and some highly paid positions for his wife at a corporate job
That's all stuff you really shouldn't do as a governor.
Then he was all like "I WILL NOT RESIGN." And everyone was like "Well, it doesn't matter because you're gone anyway." And with that, they banned Blagojevich from being an Illinois politician ever again.
Overall:
Since he was possibly one of the worst governors in Illinois history, and an overall selfish jerk, Blaggie gets a
D
We think he was kind of funny with his weird hair and insane ramblings about how he never broke the law. Delusions are funny.
