Holiday Drink Countdown: Peppermint Patties

We want to start December off right - with a shot. And follow it with some hot chocolate to keep us warm.

The shots are easy enough for an office party and the Hot Chocolate - shoot, you can drink all you want while you cozy up with a good book. It’s allright to drink alone, afterall, you did just drop $100 at the mall. If chocolate isn’t your thing, than be sure to check out our Spiced Cider and Nog recipes, which you should have read already.

Peppermint Patty Shot

1 part Kahlua

1 part Peppermint Schnappes

1 part cream
In a martini mixer, combine all ingredients. Add ice and shake well, then pour and serve in a shot glass.

Peppermint Patty Cocktail

1 part Peppermint Schnappes

6 parts Hot Chocolate

In a large snifter, add Hot Chocolate to the Peppermint Schnappes. Top with whipped cream and a cherry to serve.

The advantage to these drinks is that they are relatively easy and cheep, so can be served in large quantities at get-togethers. Also, the alcohol content in the Hot Chocolate is relatively low, which means that guests can drink all night.

In your 20 Ugliest Colleges post, where did you get the picture of Northeastern in Boston? That certainly isn't a picture of any building on campus.
