Some Of Our Favorite Aspects Of The Inauguration

The Inauguration was all over TV today, and will probably be covered quite a bit over the next week or so.  Here are our favorite aspects of today's coverage.

5.)  Reporters Who Said "Excitement" No Less Than One Billion Times

If you watched any of the coverage today, you may have been aware of the fact that the millions of people who were there felt sort of excited about the inauguration today.  Really?  People were excited?  We would have never guessed that, what with the fact that 2 million people showed up hours before inauguration time chanting "O-BAM-A."  Were those the excited people?  Because they seemed excited.

4.)  Dick Cheney In A Wheelchair

Attention stealer.

Is anything better than seeing Dick Cheney getting pushed around in a wheelchair?  It was so awesome for some reason.  Probably because he's the worst human being ever and everyone figured his cold cyborg heart equated to having a cold cyborg skeleton meaning he would never need a wheelchair because cyborg skeletons are strong and ruthless.  It turns out that Cheney hurt his evil back trying to clean out his office in the White House, which is funny and symbolic and begs the question: "If the vice president can't even afford to pay someone to clean out his office what will the rest of us do?"

3.)  Ridiculous Headwear

It was very cold out in Washington, today.  Cold weather calls for warm clothing, not ridiculous and also warm clothing, but there were a lot of people wearing ridiculous hats.  It was funny, but also frightening.  Here are some of our favorites.  We realize that one person isn't even wearing a hat and the other hat is for a Navy uniform, but it's just pretty funny either way you look at it.

2.)  The Most Awkward Oath Exchange Of All Time

Whoops.  Either someone was a little excited or they were nervous or they were both nervous and excited, and also slightly hungry.  Either way, it was strange to see the Oath get stumbled over.  Obama kind of stepped in a little early in the beginning there, and that may have messed Roberts up for the rest of the Oath.  Wouldn't it make sense to have maybe gone over this part a few times?

1.)  Obama's Speech

There was something nice about watching someone give a speech without wondering what day the world is going to end.
