Atlantic Division

Boston Celtics
Paul Pierce - SF
While KG is dominant inside, Pierce proved that he is the heart of the Celtics in the 2008 Playoffs when he carried his team to a championship by slashing his way to the boards.

New Jersey Nets
Vince Carter - SG
While Carter is now a bit older, he still provides the most excitement on a rather bleak Nets team.

New York Knicks
David Lee - PF
Deemed the "Savior of the Knicks," Lee is the hands down fan favorite, and plays to his max everytime he hits the court. Lee is also becoming a YouTube Knicks Icon.

Philadelphia 76ers
Andre Iguodala - SF
Going into the season, most basketball fan's eyes are going to be on the newly acquired Elton Brand, but we think that the high flying Iguodala will steal the show with his acrobatic aerials.

Toronto Raptors
Chris Bosh - C,PF
Bosh brings a certain sense of electricity and passion when he plays, and should team up nicely with the new addition of Jermaine O'Neal.
Central Division

Chicago Bulls
Derrick Rose - PG
Ben Gordon puts on a great show, but our pick on the Bulls is the super quick rookie Derrick Rose. Rose was built for the NBA and should turn some heads this year.

Cleveland Cavaliers
LeBron James - SG, SF
King James is probably the most exciting player in the NBA.

Detroit Pistons
Chauncey Billups - PG
Even at 32, Billups is a threat from anywhere on offense. From pulling up a monster three to driving to the hole, Billiups is a fun sight to watch on the court.

Indiana Pacers
Danny Granger - SF
Last year Granger stepped up and had his best year ever. In 08-09' we think he is truely going to breakout and become a legit star.

Milwaukee Bucks
Richard Jefferson - SF
The Bucks don't have much to be happy about this season after a putrid pre-season showing, but the newly aquired Jefferson will provide some excitement around the basket.
Southeast Division

Atlanta Hawks
Josh Smith - SF
Smith has some serious ups, and was a major part of the reason that the Hawks played the Celtics so tightly in the playoffs last year. Even if the Hawks suck, Smith's dunks are worth the price of admission.

Charlotte Bobcats
Jason Richardson - SG
This prior slam-dunk champ not only slams them down, but can go off and score at will when he is in the grove.

Miami Heat
Dwayne Wade - SG
The oft-injured Wade seemed to be back in form during the Olympics and should team up well with the rookie Beasley this year.

Orlando Magic
Dwight Howard - PF
This reigning slam dunk champ can dominate the paint when healthy (and knock down superman dunks).

Washington Wizards
Antawn Jamison - PF
With Gilbert Arenas still out until late November, Jamison is the most exciting player on the court. Jameson has grown as a player and finished with over 10 rebounds a game last year for the first season ever.
Pacific Division

Golden State Warriors
Al Harrington - PF
The Warriors lost a lot of talent in the off season, and even though Harrington isn't a happy camper on the team, he is the most fun to watch.

Los Angeles Clippers
Baron Davis - PG
Whether driving to the hole or shooting long-range 3's, Davis is deadly on offense, if he can stay healthy that is...

Los Angeles Lakers
Kobe Bryant - SG
Kobe just turned 30 but last year he proved that he was still the best player in the NBA. With a healthy Andrew Bynum, the Lakers should be in good shape this season.

Phoenix Suns
Amare Stoudemire - C
Its hard to believe that this is Amare's 6th year in the NBA, but with the absence of Shawn Marion he should play an even bigger offensive role this year.

Sacramento Kings
Kevin Martin - SG
Martin has proved that he not only belongs in the league, but that he is one of the better team players. He might be the only bright spot on the Kings this year.
Southwest Division

Dallas Mavericks
Josh Howard - SG
With Dirk's numbers decreasing in 07-08 for the 2nd straight year, Howard is becoming the player to watch both on and off the court. Lets hope he can just shut his mouth and do his talking out on the court.

Houston Rockets
Tracy McGrady - SG,SF
The addition of Ron Artest might make (or break) the Rockets this year. We are guessing that he will help free up T-Mac so he can work his magic.

Memphis Grizzlies
O.J. Mayo - SG
After a brief one year stop at the collegiate level, the rookie Mayo could be a bright spot on one of the worst teams in the NBA.

New Orleans Hornets
Chris Paul - PG
The 6' point guard may look small on the court, but his play is gigantic. Paul excells both offensively and defensively, and could be this year's MVP.

San Antonio Spurs
Manu Ginobili - SG
Even with an off-season surgery, the Spurs success relies on Ginobili. Ginobili may be one of the best slashers in the NBA and opens up the court for all of his teammates when he is playing.
Northwest Division

Denver Nuggets
Allen Iverson - SG
Having been in the league for 12 years, Iverson has not only learned how to score, but also how to pick pockets as he has lead the league in steals per game over the last 2 seasons.

Minnesota Timberwolves
Al Jefferson - PF,C
Jefferson had a breakout year last year, and should continue on 08-09' and establish himself as a top big man in the league.

Oklahoma City Thunder
Kevin Durant - SG
Possibly the worst team in the league, one of the only players on the Thunder that will actaully make noise on the court is Durant.

Portland Trailblazers
Greg Oden - C
LaMarcus Aldridge will be exciting to watch this year, but all eyes will be on Greg Oden who has yet to play a single minute of regular season play in the NBA.

Utah Jazz
Deron Williams - PG
The Jazz have a great set of forwards with Kirilenko & Boozer but its the gold-medal winning Williams that pieces the team together.
