Fighting is a big part of hockey. Some people think that the players fight because they're mad, or simply, because they can. This is just not true. Fighting in hockey is usually done for one of two reasons: a player holds a grudge against another player for a dirty hit, or taunting, or something like that; it's also done when a teams established "enforcer" (the guy who doesn't score many goals, but protects the star players) goats the other team's enforcer into a fight in order to put a spark in their team, or get the crowd into the game. BUT WHAT ABOUT THE GOALIES? Good question. When a goalie fights, it's purely because they're pissed off and need to let out some aggression.
Something about watching it from the crowd's perspective that makes it more awesome.
This may be junior hockey, but these guys fight like pro's.
Haphazard punch-throwing is the best kind.
Wonder where he picked that up.
Someone should have told Marty that Emery is an amateur boxer in his spare time. Oops!
No love between these two.
Anyone see a trend developing here?
